Virus from Jammin Sams

It doesn't matter if the site gets cleaned up or not now since I've decided it's not worth the risk and won't visit the site again or do business there now anyway . This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. With further research I've found anecdotal proof that it's not uncommon to be pressured to upgrade during a phone sales from that business. If I want to deal with that kind of sale situation I'll go buy a dodgy used car. I'm so less than impressed about the level of professionalism with that business that I'm prepared to pay more elsewhere and get a better service anyway. There are other wrap suppliers who don't just work on pressured phone sales and dodgy web sites loaded with viruses without email contact etc.

I always thought it was sorta weird that Sam's doesn't do email. They do have some wraps that aren't available elsewhere. Im scared to visit his site again. He is very adamant about his tape wrap method. Every time I have called for a sample, I always get a follow up call to see if I'm ready to order, but not really high pressure.

I've had Sam call me occasionally to see if I was interested in a special. I am fine with that. The lack of email means I have to fax my orders but the cutting of the wrap is very good and the prices are too, so I don't mind. As for computer viruses - what are they? Oh right - that's something you get for free with Windows :-\

I just recently got me a Brand New MacBook Pro. I still don't want to go back there!

Have they ever fixed the problem? Im afraid to go to the site. Plus, I too once called about pricing wrap for my Fibes kit which I ended up with real stainless steel, but he called every Friday about 4:00 even after I had told him I went with something else. I finally had to say, please stop calling, I will call you if I need anything. NOw I really dont want to call again afraid it will start up all over again.

I was on the site the other day looking to see if they have the old "bermuda sand" aka Champagne sparkle available still (it seems to be discontinued by the others). Never got any virus you guys are talking about, but the site sure is messed up. You can't click on the links to get color samples like you used to be able to.....

Sam's site was down last week. While it's now up, it certainly isn't working correctly! I've been dealing with Sam for a long time now. Yes, he loves to push his tape method... and sometimes I order the wrap that way, but only for projects that aren't very important. When I need no tape, I inform Sam of the size I want, with no tape, and he sends it to me, no questions asked.

As for Sam, or one of his employees, calling me to follow up on a possible sale, I have no problem with that. Come on guys, Sam needs to make a living and there are times when he needs to do "cold calling". If you had your own business, you'd do the same with prospective buyers.

As to all this nonsense about his site being infected, I've visited his site for as long as there's been a website and I've NEVER had any problems. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'm an IT guy by profession!

For all of you who have been visiting Sam's website for years, and those that haven't, I'm sure you may remember that it was sambarnard.com and, of course, his name is Sam Barnard. Jamminsam was just a way to be a little more "hip"!
