Nice Acro find

From billnvick

[B]JeffCC [/BSo... IF Jeff's Acro IS all-original, wouldn't that make it MORE desirable as a collector's piece?

I totally agree. Guess I should have said that a lot of people "prefer" the P83. But, all original is better than changing things for the sake of having the preferred strainer/butt/whatever...that's my opinion anyway, if it's worth :2Cents:.

Do the drum head logos look original?

They do to me.

Why the wrong wires ?

They do get bent up frequently though..

If they were origional they would have Ludwig stamped on them, correct?

Thank you!

I'm in the school of thought that the strainer is original. The stamps on the heads look legit to me also. Great drum, JC!

Ya I dont think those heads have ever been removed. There are no signs of a screw driver or any tools used to remove the strainer or any other part. Even the tension rods look untouched. The weird thing is that the kid I bought it from is the drum line for Iowa State so he must of used this drum quite a bit but it looks like its never left the house. Mabey he only used it to practice on at home. I should have asked more questions about the history of this drum.

Ya, Im loving this drum.

Thanks for the comments!

JC
