Ok I went to Jammin Sams website again this morning. Nothing happened untill I clicked on wraps or finishes then Psychedelic. Then the trojan started tellin me my computer is infected. All the sudden I have this Smart Fortress 2012 on my computer. I had to do a system restore again. Im serious Y'all!!!

I followed your steps and did not receive any messages about being infected.

Smart Fortress 2012 appears to be a rogue or fake anti-malware program. Here is some information about it.

Good luck.

I just went there and it's OK on this end.Poppy, the problem might be on your computer.I've had good success with Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware tool to remove traffic hijackers and some other fairly nasty junk.Works on Spyware and Viruses You can get a free version or "Pro" version for $25

Ditto on Malwarebytes. We use it all the time (the free version). The "Pro" version allows you to have it actually running in the background all the time, like an anti-virus program.

Just a point that you might have missed ...Doing a system restore does not remove many of the interlopers that find their way onto your computer. Fact is, they reside there all nice and cozy and reappear over and over again with little to no warning. It may or may not have anything to do with a particular site you are visiting. Just a thought.

Good point. "System Restore" works with your registry, and though in a good many cases it will render the virus/malware infection inoperative, it DOES NOT remove it. So, it is possible to surface again under a variety of circumstances. The nastiest ones will not even allow you to access System Restore, even while in safe mode.

The fake anti-malware or anti-virus programs are by far the most common. They pop up, appear to be legit, and hook people in fast...

+1.You have to use an anti-maleware program to correct the problem.I used Malewarebytes,at the suggestion of son who is a computer tech, and it worked perfectly. You just haveto download it (its free),and let it do a complete scan, whick takes hours to do.Good luck.

I got the same virus infection from Jammin Sams a week ago and thinking that could not be true revisited the site this week and sure enough I got hit again. Happened when I was checking out the light blue pearl wrap. I've been to this site many times before and no problems. So far it's cost me $125.00 for two virus removals and over two days off line. How do you get this issue accross to the site owner. There's no email address to use and I'm in Australia and a phone call is out of the question at this point in time. Will someone please get Jammin Sam onto this problem. They must be losing a lot of business as a result.

Sorry to hear that. That's interesting though, because recently, while looking at an eBay Mash site for drums I got a few pop-ups from my Virus protection telling me that a virus had been contained. I never saw that before on the site......and then it just went away....things have been good so far.

If you have the right anti malware installed and constantly scanning you will probably be safe. If you don't like a lot of us you will get nailed and have to deal with an expensive problem. It's still up to jammin sam to clean up the site and make it safe for all. Please someone call this guy and press the problem home to him.
