1960's ghost bass drum pedal

I came across a ghost pedal for $25. It says that it's pre-Ludwig. Can anyone tell me about these pedals?

I've been playing Speed Kings for 50 years... but, If I ever had to pick another pedal, it would be a Ghost. Smooth operation, solid, and responsive. After Speed Kings, I think, Ghosts are some of the best 'players pedals' ever produced.

PS - They're a bee-atch to fix! Make sure the one being offered is in good working order. Bad ones are near impossible to repair...

Too many great drums to list here!

I think that was the only thing about it was that the drive chain was broken and the person had put a metal cable in its place.

I've attached a picture of it. Would this be something that could be fixed?

Don't see why not. Be a tough original part to find though. The 'problems' I mentioned come from having issues with the internal mechanisms. Mission Impossible to get in there to fix internal parts. (If) the pedal is generally in good working order, for $25. it's a score.
