I have had this snare for 35 years, and truly loved it but I have no idea what model it is, or its worth? Its a Ludwig 6.5 x 15. The badge No. is 92944, wood shell, marine pearl finish and 8 lug rims. Lots of punch and is in good condition. Just a note to say hello to my fellow members and I will input what I know to the members of the community,
Ludwig 1964 6.5 x15 Snare
Found out its a school festival model. Anyone know the Value.
Well I'm not much of a source on the values but I can say that the WMP is a desireable color for vintage drums... and keystone badge Ludwigs are always a sought after commodity sooo... dig around ebay for something that looks similiar.
This one caught my eye and seems to be drawing plenty of attention.. not going for a fortune but the auction is far from over.
I really like those old Ludwig mufflers!

are you sure it's 15 and not 14". The measurement is shell only not including the rim. The 6.5 is more rare than the 5 if that is indeed the depth.
The value will not be like the 14" version. Why? not many drummers play 15" snare drums.
It is like looking at the ocean when you sit behind one even though it is not that much bigger.
Also, 15" drums do not garner the attention like 14" drums.. I have had two different 15" snare drums and still sitting on one...
So, my value is probably in the $200 +- range and if it were the 14" make it $300 +-.
The Jazz Fest which is what most people are looking for usually sells in the $250 - $400 range and more for the rare colors.

John, The heads I always put on this drum are 15's and the shell measurement is 15 also. never could get a 14 to work. And it is 6.5 in depth.Keep on Pl Keep on Pl
