Gotta try this stuff! Wonder how/if it works on the softer metals, like Slingerland or Ludwig pedals....

I once had a couple that I'd just bead blasted, thought I'd get them really clean and all the sand off so I ran them through the dishwasher. Yikes! They came out as dark and funky as they were before I cleaned them.

Thanks for the tip!

Speaking of tips....SOMEWHERE on this site is a link to a bunch of catalogs with the pages scanned. I can never find it. Where is it??!!

Krud kutter works very good on chrome for sure and steel bolts and washers. But it seems like everything I have used to soak the lug inserts with has tuned them black. Cant figure out why, it must be the inserts have some weird shinny coating because I end up putting a tension rod in a drill and spinning the inserts over some very fine sand paper. It sometimes leaves the inserts kind of brass looking. Did that make any sense? Any way my point is to try a small test area before you dump and entire foot pedal in it. But chrome can soak for two days, dry it off and wow!

Thank you!

I have a polishing wheel on one side of my bench grinder here and one one side of one of the bench grinders at my shop. I bought all the different polishes at lowes. This is a fabulous polisher! I also use NEVRDULL wadding. NEVRDULL is the most amazing stuff I ever saw Y'all! I put a vibrator in the bowl that the screws were soakin' in whink. The vibrator is a good trick on some soaking applications

If you click on Visit Partner Sites at the top of any page, a drop down appears and you would choose Vintage Drum Guide to get to the cat scans.

Excellent idea. I would think a vibrator would speed up the whole soaking/cleaning process similar to an ultrasound bath, which I used a long time ago on gemstones. I have been soaking rusted parts in Dawn over night, but a vibrating bath would loosen everything up much better. Where could I find a suitable vibrator? AND NO OBVIOUS JOKES ABOUT MY WIFE'S CLOSET, CHILDREN!

It was the first thing that came to mind though.
