I just joined this forum recently after finding some vintage gear. My research let me to this forum! I picked up a couple of vintage Zildjians and I was wondering if someone could help me out with their age. I have done some research on the stamps and figure they are in the 60s range but I'm not sure. Here are some pics.

Here's a bit more information on the cymbals. The first one is a 20" ride weighing 2825 grams. The second is an 18" sizzle crash with 8 rivets, weighing 1400 grams. It's a bit hard to see in the pic, but the sizzle crash does not have the three dots in the signature on the stamp. The ride does have the three dots.

From what I have learned, mostly from Drumaholic, the first one is mid 60s and the second is late 50s. Maybe Drumaholic will see your post and tell you for sure.

They may well be "average" vintage cymbals, but I love old A's. I just bagged some 50's 15" hats and 20" ride for a bargain price, together with an "interesting" Super Zyn 15" crash. They are sweet.

Average? Yes. They get more interesting when you get into to the large stamps, trans stamps, and earlier types.

Well that's cool! I've been playing them a bit. The ride sounds pretty good. The sizzle crash is really thin which I like but the sizzle effect is kinda strange to my ears.
