Iam thinking the drum is a Olympic made by Premier in the 60's.The lugs look like bass drum size lugs to me.The strainer looks Olympic to me also i have a few Olympic snares with that strainer....Mikey

That's a Beverley. Without seeing the shell, I would say pre-1960 Beverley construction but it could be just after the ownership change and be Beverley goods on a Premier shell. The standard Beverley throwoff was fairly long and likely wouldn't have fit this narrow a drum, so they've used one very similar to the an Olympic or it is an Olympic throwoff, that has been retrofitted.

Should be a very nice drum.

Contact paper on it? I hope there's a nice wrap under it. Any pics of the inside?

I was think`n Premire too !! The strainer looks off centerline but maybe there`s that much play in the lugs !! Under the wrap might be a shadow of a previous badge !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

There might be 2 little tack holes about an inch apart, in the shell, just above the vent(?).

Any ideas on what badge it would have...the square beverley standard, the circle orange or the hexagonal??http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-BEVERLEY-B-H-HEX-DRUM-BADGE-LOT-2-/270953573540?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Drums_Percussions_MJ&hash=item3f16176ca4

The drum is most likely made in the Beverley factory , not the Premier factory. The badges that resemble the Premier P around the vent only with a B, were badges that date from when Boosey & Hawkes was handed Beverley to market as a replacement for their cancelled Ajax line. The square badge mostly dates from the Premier years. Prior to that there was a rectangular black plastic badge. The drums from this period had cast hoops(yours does as well), whereas Premier immediately second lined the brand and first put the nicely infurled heavy stamped hoop( same as Olympic hoops) and then later those horrible tall outflanged , stamped Ludwig/Rogers knockoff hoops----Olympic got them too. That is presumably ,why they tried to market them as "American Style Drums". I think it will be a hard badge to find. The one on ebay dates from about 15 years after your drum was made.
