Calling MIKEY and JONNISTIX

Hi guys. I want to recreate a snare I had and sold.

6.5 by 14 Valley Drum Shop Custom, Keller shell.

70's, Pearl long, double sided snare lugs.

Guys I do not have a pic of the lugs, but they were sort of rounded smooth, sleek shape, slightly tapered in middle, rounded at the top and made for 6.5 and deeper shells.

I have not seen these in years.

Looking for 10.

I have a pic of the strainer used, as this might help to establish a time line.

See pic of 8x14 Blaemire with Pearl strainer. That's the one.

Looking for one of these strainers.

Thanks SA

PS is there a catalog of all Pearl lugs?

I like those strainers, too - the Gladstone style flip up design. Gibraltar makes one very similar, not very expensive, eiher.

Thanks guys.

That spring end sticking out of that Gibralter kind of bugs me.

I like the Pearl original.

The one I have is 30 years old and is still great. No problems and no springs sticking out.

SA,I wish you would have email me about 2 weeks ago.The last Pearl strainer that i had i stock i sold had 15 of them N.O.S. The strainer that you are looking for Pearl used them from about 1972-76 or their abouts. On the Pearl lugs i only have a few of these maybe 2 or 3 of them left.Again i had many of these lugs for years and no one needed them so i used them up on sets that i put together to sell..The lugs i have are one piece lug looks like a small tom lug on top and bottom but has the rounded middle piece. If you like email me i will send youa photo of the lug so you can post it to show what you are looking for....Mikey

MIKEY, send me the pic of the lugs as well. I have a basket full of old Pearl lugs of various design and would like to clear out some.

i don't know where your at or if your the guy who sold the snare, but there's a guy in the los angeles craigslist who's been trying to sell a valley arts snare for a long time.

its a 6 1/2 x14 blonde laquer snare and looks great. i just did a search but didn't find it. if he didn't sell it i'm sure it will pop up again, as l.a. cl ads can only run for a week.

Thanks guys. Valley Arts was a Guitar Type Store on Ventura Blvd.

My snare came from Valley Drum Shop on Burbank at Woodman.

I used to buy there all the time. Ron and Rick Syde ran it.

Mikey, please send a pic of those long Pearl snare lugs.

Maybe Jonnistix has some.

Thanks Boys SA

Still looking for strainer and lugs.
