Wanna go for a "Ride" ?

Loading...

A rare day that I have vacation in summer (HVAC Technician) Thought I would weigh all my ride cymbals, then I realized I have double digit ride cymbals

From left to right rear: Zildjian 20" Hollow black logo, Zildjian 22" Crash/Light Ride, Zildjian 24" Block Zildjian logo (1950's), Zildjian 22" Brilliant Ping Ride, Zildjian Impulse 22" (all ping, no wash) middle: 18" 1930's era Zildjian Sizzle, 18" Medium Hollow block logo, front 1976 Paiste 2002 20" Ride, Sabian 20" early HH Ride. The one not pictured is on my practice kit, Zildjian 21" Sweet Ride Brilliant. I need to thin them out one day, but they are all like my kids. The cymbal that's barely visible on the left behind the sheet is an old Stambul crash.

When you're ready to "thin them out". I wanna buy this one!

Don't even think about cleaning it! I'll take it as is!

The lightest in weight is the 22" second from left in back, it weighs in at a nice 2210 grams. The heaviest is the Impulse, weight of that thick pie is a hefty 3630 grams. But IMHO, the greatest character of them all is the 24" (weight 3120) start hammering that cymbal about 3-4 inches from the edge and it washes like a son of a gun. The 18 Medium I'm actually going to begin using as a crash, it weighs just 100 grams more than my reliable 18" medium crash...JRichard, you got first dibs when I decide to thin them out.
