I have to say that the Trashformer, from whichever lower line it comes, is a pretty nice effects cymbal.

I caught SO much flack for liking that ZBT splash it sent me on a search for a "better" one. I ended up with a Paiste 2002 series which I adore, my bass player loved the ZBT so much I gave it to him.

I'll be on the cusp of vintage myself when that day comes!

What cusp? I am vintage.

Best I can tell from a quick internet search for info: 1990s.

Thanks Lynn, you found more than I did. I found plenty of sales but no tech info.

BTW our Daughters Ludwig kit came with a ZBT starter pack. 13" hats, 14" and 16" crash and 18" ride. The crashes cracked after a few years. 18" doesn't sound too bad but the rest are a little harsh. I have 2 sets of 13" hats, 3 18" rides and a Sabian B8 20" ride. Replacing them slowly with vintage A's as I can afford to. Those sound so much better. ;)

Well, I'm really just guessing. Wikipedia shows that the ZBT Plus line was discontinued in the early 2000s, so I'm guessing the ZBT line couldn't have been introduced too long before that.
