18" Zildjian A rides and crashes were common during the mid to late 60's.MW

That is true. I owned a couple of them back then.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "vintage" is. True vintage Zildjians (pre-70's) weren't classified as "Ride", "Crash/Ride", "Splash" etc. They were just classified by size and were made in different weights (thicknesses). There are plenty of thicker vintage 18" Zildjians around. A 19" might be a tougher find, but those were becoming more available by the mid-70's.You say you want to get rid of your "Ping Ride". Is it labeled as a "Ping Ride"? If it is, it can't be any older than mid-70's or so, because Zildjian did not designate specific models until about that time. So again, I guess it depends on your definition of "vintage".

Yes i did say that ,But my older ping ride is a 1980 ...But i would like to have a smaller one like an 18 or 19 inch med ride or just a Reg ride cymbal

In the early 80’s just about every A. Zildjian Ride was available in 18” or smaller. Through the 80’s and 90’s most of them were phased out. The 18” A. Medium Ride was available until 2005.

Did they make a pang too? I had a 20" A China type I think had pang stamped on it but might have been ping?? Had to be mid to late 70's when I got it. I used it upside down on a boom stand ala Cobbham. Cool cymbal and a great trashy sound. Very gong like with soft mallets.

Yes, Zildjian made the Pang at that time.
