Hello to all the southern drummers...

Thats easy for me to say when you live not far from the start of the Alaska Highway..........

Don't know where to start out here but I figured on getting some advice from the ones in the know.

Have a 7 piece Tama Superstar kit I bought brand spanking in 1978-1980 (little foggy on that) as time does fly, however have orders from momma bear that they gotta go. I have noticed used kits are like the stock market, all over the board and my theory is the logistics of trying to ship them anywhere to a appreciative buyer plays a big part in that volatility. Any advice as to what sales tool is best? Been gigging for close to 40 years (25 of them with this kit) they don't owe me a dime and do need some work, but shouldn't have to give them away should I?

You could clean them up and donate them to a school or church...

Well,pictures would help....Is it double bass two up,two down?Concert toms?Owners of early Superstars(like myself)know what they are and try and keep it a secret,cause they are SUPERB.

Yes they do have a superb sound.I'll put up a pic from my dark basement.

I also own a small set of Tama's I recently purchased which are more compact

but definitely have a different sound than than the oldies.

That's a great idea.If i don't get what they should be worth that's what I'll do. It's funny, over the years I've had a couple of fellow musicians kids who would just stare at me while playing gigs (not uncommon for young shavers to do), often thought when I retire this kit I'd donate it to one of them. Now the one youngster (23yrs old) can play circles around me and has gear I could only dream of at that age. Thanks for the out.
