BR ? For Tommyp....or anyone else who can shed some light.

I was just wondering that during the later years for Buddy what was he using for a pedal.

I'd seen him what seemed like a thousand times from the 70's until his death, yet I'm drawing a blank on what he used. Mostly from the time frame of say the last Radio King set he got from Joe McSweeney.

For some reason a Speed King comes to mind.

Just thinking out loud.

Thanks,

BGT

BGT!...

A fine question actually!... but it wasn't a Speed King. Right up to the end, Buddy played a Rogers Swivo-Matic, and he had that pedal for a long time too! Buddy actually used a fair amount of his Rogers hardware with a lot of his later sets, regardless of manufacture/endorsement. The one that stayed in place the longest though, was the Rogers Swivo-Matic bass drum pedal.

Thanks Tommy!

Now that you say that it's coming back to me. And to my recollection he always used a wood beater. Not sure about way back in say the Joe Marsala & Artie Shaw days say 38'-39' ish, but I do remember seeing pictures of wood beaters with his sets from the early 50's and on.

Thanks again Tommy

Thanks Glenn,

That originally was a 50N that had a 24" BD that I converted to a 80N BR kit and added the second FT and the second set of BD spurs.

The stands are late 60's BR stands and the high hat is early to mid 70's that came with the 50N I believe.

The snare is a 68' Artist Model.
