Gees Louise!

Tama Swingstars were Tama's cheap line in the 80's. Must be that Eddie Van Halen wrap job?

I have never seen Tama "T" badges with no hole. Concert toms have a different badge entirely. And the tom mount looks like a stand mount in the bass reciever-not centered.

Seriously, there has to be a reason for listing this set for huge money.Did they only make 100 of them? Are they Tama's answer to the "Top Hat/Cane?

We had a set of these back when I was in high school. They were pretty good sounding drums, especially with Remo Pinstripes. But, they didnt sound THAT good! sheesh!

Iam not sure of how many were made of these EV sets. They did come in red and white also black and white finishs.G.S. were the sellers of these sets in my home towm the G.S had one of these for sale and no one would buy it.They sold it at 80% off sticker price it was in the store from 11 months..The badges on this set posted are NOT REAL the real badges had grommets....Mikey

Let us all remember, listers do so in a way to meet their objectives. Here's a possibility that I am sure most of us can relate to - whether in that situation or not:

Your spouse is really mad that you have invested so much money and time into that stupid hobby (you buy then just to look at them!!!!!) and have neglected your relationship(s), placing more valus on those stupid drums than your own family. .....and so you must list them in order to 'prove' that you are willing to sell them if someone is willing to pay you their 'value'. We see this happening from time to time (overpricing) and I am convinced that many times there is more to the story than meets the auction page.

That is my guess, though it may not involve a spouse. It can involve a business partner or even be some kind of wager or something.

I guess in a way, I am giving this 'vintage headquarter' the benefit of the doubt - that they have more sense than this (therefore there must be more to the story).

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
