Ludwig Lug Question

Loading...

Just a quick question to the Luddy experts:

Do Classic and Standard lugs have the same mounting/hole spacing? I've found a bare Standard floor tom shell at a reasonable price, but I don't want to waste time and money if my large Classic lugs won't fit (and I would never consider redrilling).

Many people have converted entire kits over to classic lugs with no issues to give them the classic look. Apparently, some Ludwig Standard kits came from the factory with classic lugs as well. Just another page in Ludwig's book of oddities and anomalies.

Do you have a need for Standard lugs? I think I still have a few left over from the WinterFest Saleathon. Let me know.

Thanks, but I actually have a need for more large, chrome Classic lugs. I have ten nickel Classic lugs that I want to replace with chrome if anyone wants to trade.

Mike... let me think on that. I've got a whole tub full of large Ludwig Classic Chrome lugs. I might be interested in swapping a few for nickel ones. I do have two current Ludwig projects right now, so when I get home from work let me take a quick inventory (to make sure I've got enough for my projects) and get back to you.

You don't happen to have other spare parts to trade, do you?
