Old Kent 3pc set Red Sparkle!!

Loading...

I have an older (white background with silver lettering on the tags) Kent 3pc set. It has a 20" kick, 12" ride tom and a 14" matching snare. The set is in overall good condition with no issues with the wrap as far as lifting or anything. It looks pretty nice and is made of 2 ply maple. It comes with the original snare stand and a cymbal stand which goes in it's bass drum mount. The ride tom is held on with a rail style mount. The snares read Rogers on them and all heads are Remo's. The throw off works as it should and is not like the import ones. It's a Kent throwoff. I have no idea what these are worth, so if you want to make an offer .... great!! I'll try to post some pics soon and maybe hunt around for what they might be worth. :) Oh .... The snare and the ride tom have the tags intact in good shape and the bass drum tag is missing. If you need more specific pics let me know and any and all Reeses wrappers were from dinner!! LOL Cymbals are not included, only the snare stand and the cymbal arm and of course the bass legs and the claws in the front. The WMP St. George floor tom is also for sale ... make an offer. The one missing tension rod I have for it, it just wasn't there in the pic. I believe the outer rim of the bass drum is non original but that's the only thing unoriginal thing I see besides heads on this kit. It does have a nice red sparkle inlay though!! :) The set definately needs a good cleaning!!!!

I have a chance to get a Kent blue sparkle bass and 12" tom. If they are in good shape, what would these be worth? Thanks, Mike

Assuming they are in good shape, maple shells (not the later imports) and have no missing parts or modifications, I'd say that a good deal would be $75.00. I wouldn't pay more than $125.00 for these myself.

For the record, I paid $99.00 for a 22" kick, 13" tom with tom arm, cymbal arm, and matching snare stand. Seller threw in a Slingerland kick pedal as well.

Not an expert, just a Kent lover with a stack of snares and 2 Kent Kits.

Big daddy hit the nail on the head on that one.
