Ok folks, here they are,... !
1970's Alice Cooper blue Camco's in sizes: 24", 16", 12'"and 13".
The snare is a 5" with 8 lugs.
I managed to negotiate the price down to 850 Euro. (asking price was 1250)
From a distance the kit looks great, from close,... well,... it has his flaws.
- A couple of scratches in the paint.
- 2 small holes drilled near the 12" tom mount plate. (... the horror,....)
- Dent in the snare shell.
- Missing bottom hoops on both toms. (tension rods are present)
The blue paint has a metallic appearance and looks stunning under a lightsource. It changes to a turquoise, greenish color,... absolutely beautifull.
The shells and bearing edges seem to be in perfect condition so soundwise, I'm convinced it will be sweet.
No cracked lugs and all chrome looks fine.
The kit came with a pair of very light 1960's Zildjian Avedis 13" hihats and a 1960's Tosco 16" ride.
The hardware is a mish mash of Sonor and MIJ. The speedking was a nice bonus !
I'll probably sell the cymbals and speedking so that should bring me an extra 200. A Camco including the snare for 650 Euro, not a bad deal considering the extreme rarity of Camco's over here in Europe.
Once I start to clean them up, I will start a thread in the "restoring" section.
