I'm a bit bummed out that the Drouyn (aussie) kit I'm restoring has one stripped thread on a floor tom mount. The mount looks very much like a Ludwig, without the logo. This is not as whacky as it seems, since Drouyn purchased parts from Ludwig and Premier too. The hole spacing is perfect for a Ludwig mount. The kit is probably from about 1966. There are a few Ludwig mounts about - unfortunately the one in the USA on eBay has a very chewed up wing nut. Although I'm thinking it's more than likely it's the same thread as the Drouyn. I'm hopeful if I get a Ludwig mount I could use the Drouyn wing-bolt. Are there any MIJ copies that have the 1 7/8" hole pattern? I have next to zero chance of finding another original, which is sad. What do you think about the thread on the bolt being Ludwig sized? Thanks everyone for your help on this resto.
