Can you describe how they are busted? Are the rings physically cracked to the point that they cannot be reglued or are they simple loose from the shell? There are very few circumstances I've come across where the ring cannot be cleaned up and reglued to the shell. Even if they've gone out of round, you can usually place them inside a steel drum hoop and steam them back into round with a clothing steamer.

From what I can recall, the Deluxe Concert King was generally a mahogany/poplar/mahoagny shell with clearcoated exterior. If it's 1963, the missing throwoff is a Zoomatic which should be easy enough to procure. I'm going to assume that the drum dried out and the rerings have come unattached, because generally speaking if the ring is physically broken and damaged the shell near the break is in even worse shape. If that's the case, some patience, sandpaper, a good fine wood file, Titebond glue, and about 20 $1.49 U clamps from Harbor Freight will fix you right up.

Very good advise! The Concert Kings are GREAT DRUMS! The only thing I can add to barjack's reply is to be patient & educate yourself. Not sure if you know about the Sister Site "Vintage Drum Guide", but it is a warehouse of information! Good luck & post some pics...if there's no pics, it never happened. LOL!
