Great job, I gotta start browsing places like thrift stores, yard sales, etc and hopefully find me some good steals.

Speaking of miracles. There was a script badge 4 piece Rogers set, two toms bass drum and floor tom no snare , on the Boson Craigslist yesterday. I replied to it immediately but it was gone in less than an Hour. Price...... $50. Anyone else see this?? I doubt it because like I said the ad was gone in less than an hour.

You really just need to be diligent and keep your eye out. There are people who either:

A. Dont know what they have

B. Don't care

C. All of the above

A few weeks ago I responded to a CL add where a guy had a set of Yamaha drums and 2 snares one of which was a ludwig for $225 total. The picture was horrible but I could tell it was a 5x14 Supra. I emailed and asked for more pics of the Ludwig and if he would sell it seperately for $50. He said yes and according to the pics the drum looked pretty dirty but it didnt seem beat up. He also told me the top rim was shot. I told him I would take it and a few days later drove out to get it. After cleaning it up, the shell was in near mint condition with the Ludwig sticker inside with handwritten model number and date stamp of June 71. I had to replace the top hoop, add some lugs, and a tone control but for the price it was a steal.

I look at almost every drum ad because you never know. Things are getting snatched up quickly around here. There was a 5 piece Keystone wmp set with hardware and a Keystone Acro listed for $600 last month, I missed that one!

$25 at a yard sale last summer.. I been keeping my eye out this summer. With the economy going into the tank people will be digging way back in the basement to get rid of stuff and make a buck.

I just hope I don't have to start getting rid of my own stuff to keep the kids in shoes.crying2-07
