I heard these sound awesome, Zigaboo used them on all the old meters recordings.

Some misinformation in the ad: It's not COB; the dinged up shell is aluminum alloy and the badly pitted hoops are zinc alloy.
Perhaps not a bad deal, but one could easily do a lot better.
gone already. nice price...

Hey, all you "Premier" experts... I've got what I believe to be (most) of an early 70s Premier "2000" snare drum. It has a "super-sensitive" type of strainer on it.
Anybody know much about these?
Shoot, I'd make somebody a pretty good deal on it!

the dinged up shell is seamless aluminum correct? I don't thnk I could get a better sounding drum shipped to my house for less than 100.00 . If you see one lwt me know! I'll jump on it! The badly pitted hoops are in your own words probably the best die casts made correct? I think that drum is going to kick some a** when I take her out on a rockin funkin gig. Guess I'll find out when she arrives. Jump For Joy

Another member is already first in line on a possible trade... but here are some pics in case we don't get anything worked out. Haven't attempted to clean, polish or anything up to this point. What's in the pics is what it is...
Sorry, still have the holiday table cloth on. :)
Thanks,
Bill

Paolo, You hadn't revealed at first that it was you who won it!Walking
In terms of performance quality, you did well for the $$.
That drum is way better than the overrated, dime-a-dozen Acro.
As to great drums shipped for under $100, I'm pleased with this one (COB shell):

That is a nice one! In reality I bought the premier because I'm so partial to 10 luggers. For some reason I just haven't found an 8 lug drum that I just couldn't part with. Anyways I've heard a lot of great things about the sound of these old seamless aluminum premiers so I figurd I'd give it a go!

Paolo, I hadn't realized your Premier 'Hi-Fi' was a 10 lugger. They're not too common.
I too am partial to 10 luggers.
I was so impressed with the 5.5 Sound King, I had to go for this 10 lug 6.5; over $100 but still a great value and I saved shipping with a local p/u.Clapping Happy2
