Very clean 60s Gracy MIJ on auction- good photos

Loading...

Hey there fellow MIJ enthusiasts,

currently there is a very interesting early Gracy on auction in Japan (see pics)

Some interesting stuff to notice- die cast hoops all around, what looks to be Teisco/DelRay snare strainer and internal muffle. Nice wrap eh?!

Sweet!! I don`t believe I`ve seen die cast hoops on vintage MIJ drums...Would those be original??

All the Gracy kits I have or have seen here have die cast hoops- nice huh? I think so too. I have an extra Gracy die cast 16" hoop that is shiny but a bit pitted- they are heavy, solid hoops for sure. The bass drum lugs, the internal muffler design, the throw off- I see a bunch of the same hardware points as Teisco...

What's written in the top of the T-rods? Trixon? Excited

Well, these - ruthless - Japanese freaks really started copying every single stylish part at that time ...

Ralf

NB: nice, really nice, kit and thanx for sharing, OsakaBop!

Nice looking set thanks for posting..Ralf, the T-rod's are copys of the Trixon's 60's they do not say anything on the top of them..I have had about 2,000 of these T-rods at one time.I still do have some in stock for sale.I used them on sets i made in the 80's cool thing about them is that the threads are 12/24..Mikey
