Kahsian Cymbal

Loading...

I picked up some drums today and these cymbals were included. What did I find here? The Kahsian is a 20" with the words "bounce ride" stamped in black ink. The Paiste is a bottom hat 14"

Thank you,

Jeff C

That's a UFIP made B-20 stencil brand. They're pretty nice. They're about the same as Pasha only these were made exclusively for Slingerland.

Because the UFIP trademark Rosetta Stone has declared it to be so.

Next I suppose you'll want to know what that is.

I'll state the obvious here: you have a paiste that's worth some coin, provided there's no cracks or keyholes.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

I've got a Pasha (UFIP) 20" ride that I love. UFIP is an Italian group of cymbalsmiths, or was is the past. There are still UFIP cymbals made in Italy, but not sure if it's still a group/cooperative, or a private company. I think they pretty much pioneered the rotocast technique of cymbal-making, and made lots of cymbals for drum companies so that they each could have their own brand of cymbals to sell. Like was said, Pasha was the Rogers brand, Kashian was the Slingerland brand, and Ajaha was the Gretsch brand. Can't remember any others. Pretty sure they were B20. They sometimes have a red stamp: 'made in Italy' in a red square. Often, the stamps are gone. Some were signed under the bell, but I don't know if they all were. My 2c......marko

Marko, thank you for answering my question. My Kahsian cymbal has a stamp under the bell that is worn down and only words left is " made". It was most likely used on a stand without the felt pad under it for a long time.

Thanks again, I will check e-bay.
