Some Drouyn for Aussies

Check these... I'd love them. They come around every now and then and these as good as they come.

Cool!

Fred Strauks from Skyhooks played a kit like that,

and they always sounded great. That would be a nice score.

Only a 4000 km drive for me LoLoLoLo

like wise mate a 4000k trip as well, had too many knock backs when inquiring about freight, ie pack and send from melbourne to adelaide $430 for a $200 kit, i guess it can stay in the west.Soap Box

This kit looks good.. It'll be interesting to see how much they go for... I'm quite a few K's away as well..

( I think Thorpie's, Johnny Dick endorsed these back in the 60's ?)

Cheers

I can not comment on the drums, as i`ve never seen or heard of any of these, but that Premier ZYN ride is awesome! I`ve played on one of those, B20 quality stuff, a bit too crashy for me but it`s really awesome.

Just tought i`d give you a heads-up.

Now mine. I hope to be a worthy restorer/curator for these rare drums. I will be posting a lot of detailed images and audio in the future on my youtube channel. I will be selling a lot of drums to fund this kit; I hope it will be a fun experience.

beautifull. nice to see that a relatively unknown brand is going for what it is worth.

First one in this condition I've seen. I spoke with the seller. Nice bloke. These drums have spent many years in cases. Really keen to hear them. Spoke with Don Sleishman and he confirmed the timber as Rose Alder but was sceptical on the Supra connection.

Nice - I got talking to a mutual friend at a party and he used to be a Shell Inspector for Drouyn - He maintained that employees of the company could "In their own time" MAKE THEIR OWN Dream Kit!!!

....so he built MY ULTIMATE KIT!

He had made one of each size (The 12 + 1 he called it) - down to a couple of different sized kicks. If I recall, they were concert toms from 6"-16" and the 18 and 20 were floor toms w/resonant heads. Two Kicks - 22" and 24" but the snare was in fact a Ludwig Supraphonic Shell with Drouyn Lugs and Badge!!!

True Collectables in Natural Lacquer!!!

I Want Them. Plus they were made at STONES CORNER, Brisbane which is half an hour from home...

Yum!
