You ask if it's worth the money, but I don't see a price!! I believe those are nicknamed "cutaway" toms, they're definitely concert toms, may have been used for high school or college bands?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

These have been talked about here recently and you can find the info about the shells by going to the Slingerland pages... Look up at the top links, click on "Vintage Drum Identification" then Slingerland Drums

$1000 is a lot for those drums, unless, of course, you really want a set of Slingeralnd cutaway concert toms.

Currently, concert tom sets are really hard to sell and are not that desirable, compared to earlier vintage American sets.

if the price includes what seams to be a 6½ x 14" COB TDR Snare, I find the price fair enough - but ofcause it depends on wether you realy want it or not.

If the kit is in as good condition as it looks in the picture - including the snare - I´ll guess that it would go for around 1500 usd here in Denmark.

The snare looks like a "two to one" to me....

Hard to tell, but the lugs look offset

If you can get 1500.00 in Denmark? 1500.00 will buy a real nice kit here.

Indeed, I think that is a 2-1 snare. Those are very scarce and fairly collectible. I agree that $1,000 is too much for those. Really the only thing going for that set it the snare...Unless you like those concert toms.
