Nice kit. The center tom mount is a later addition. I actually have the same kit with the same mount added but only one hole drilled in the shell for the post to go through so it could never have 2 rack toms. It is a Pearl mount though and they work pretty well. The colour of yours looks to be a nicely yellowed white marine pearl. They are not worth a bundle but it is nice that it has the snare.

Yes it is. some will say that these kits can't sound good but they'd be wrong and more than a little snobby:D

Remo coated Ambassadors or Emperors on the snare and toms and maybe a Remo PS3 or PS4 on the bass drum and it'll sound nice. You may find a better snare like a Ludwig Acrolite may be a better option than the original snare although it's nice to have the original snare as well.

I have used this kit for recording and it's currently set up in the studio where i've just finished tracking the drums for an album.

The people that have it are asking $499.00, too much? Comes with no hardware or cymbals.

Yeah, five hundred seems a bit much. About half that would be high end I'd think. Also, are those rims missing? If so, even less.

Take it from a former snob, those will sound sweet with the right heads top and bottom.

Yes, $500 is too high especially with the modded tom mount. As Fishwaltz says, probably around $200 on the US market. Over here it would get around $300-350. There are plenty out there. Keep an eye out for a kit that is complete and unmolested that looks to have had bottom heads on the drums all their life, that way the edges will have been protected.
