19" Avedis Zildjian

I lucked up on some cymbals on CL 2 or 3 months ago. A guy had bought a lot of stuff at a estate sale. I basically bought a trap case and it's contents. All Avedis Zildjian. Inside was a 16" heavy crash, 19" ride and 14" Hi hat cymbals. The 16" is a nice early 60's I believe. The hi hats are thin and not sure of there age. Maybe late 50's early 60's, but this 19" ride is a fine fantastic sounding cymbal. The hole is smaller and I think it is hand hammered. It is my main ride for my jazz kit now. I am guessing 1950's

Was wondering if anyone can give me a close proximity of a date on this.

I can post pics of the others if anyone is interested in trying to date them for me.

Trans stamp, 40 to early 50's I believe.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Wow, I didn't realize it could be that old. I bet the hats are around the same age too. I also got a couple old cymbal stands and a hi hat stand. WFL speed king, snare stand, couple of practice pads and a old throne.

Give us some pictures of the other stamps . BTW, the trans stamp is fairly easily recognized. First it is a small stamp. Second the three dots commonly seen in the U shaped Arabic letter are absent and third, and most importantly, the "Z" in Zildjian and the "Co." as well as the start and end of the Arabic, are much more deeply imprinted than the rest of the stamp.
