Steel Snare Drum ID

I got this snare drum, or most of it with a couple of other nice vintage drums of different makes. Just got around to cleaning it up and it is not to bad a drum. No badge.

I have seen similiar snares on cheap import sets but wondered if anyone could give me a positive ID on it. Maybe the lugs can help ID it.

Tuff to I.D. for sure because they were made with so many different badges/company names. Those lugs are Pearl copies though.

Yes, this is Pearl made snare, most likey made in Taiwan. Like Steve B said, it could have been one of any number of badges.

Ok thanks, I see these type snares with sets on CL all the time. I will eventually complete it and sell it or something. I really don't need it.

Give it to a school, or a kid at your local school that is from a broke family. Selling it will likely only net you about 20-30 bucks, and then you will feel slighted because you put way more time into it than that...I give these away rather than trying to sell because they just aren't worth a whole lot to anyone but a broke kid. They will appreciate it more than anyone you would sell it to.

That's a good idea Johnny. I even have someone in mind.

It's most similar to modern super-cheapest chinese snare 'FORCE SDC-05'.

Big yes to Johny... :)
