I grabbed this off eBay today and picked up locally, for $150. Hell, I couldn't really go wrong... It is far from perfect, but the shells match (besides the snare but who cares anyway). It's a "Made In Japan" haha. I assume by my research that the brand is Star, but I really don't know. I have yet to pull it all apart and see if it's date-stamped. It sounds cool so far and Im digging the looks!

In this last picture, you can see the replacement tom mount. This is working so far for me, but as you can also see, I'm a lefty and the replacement was added more for a righty. I would really want to eventually replace this with what should be there. I was ok with the mods because it was so cheap that if I really wanted to make a project out of this kit I could always re-wrap the shells to cover the shoddy work... but I also have yet to really bang on these (by the time it was all set up it was almost 11pm and I was quietly testing it with the hot rods).
What do you guys think? Keep in mind this is my first vintage kit.
