Hi, guys! On ebay, there is a set of vintage Zildjean hi-hat cymbals being offered. It appears the there are two rivets in the top cymbal. I have never played such hi-hats but, the concept is interesting. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on such hi-hats? They certainly would produce a "different" sound.Thank you. Brian
The rivets must be placed pretty far in from the edge one would guess ??
I don't think it would make much difference on the closed or chick sound _ but moreso when open perhaps _ and think it would tend to excite the top cymbal when struck in the open position.
Then thinking again, it might also have a limitted but positive effect on lessening air-lock.
