Killer Drum _ oldschool !!!

Congrats on the score _ it will be stunning when its all shined up !!

Were you hunting for one, or did you just stumble upon it?

If you just stumbled upon it, I'll have to admit I'm a bit envious.

That shalt NOT covet thy neighbour's drum.

Thanks, Ohm! I can't wait to get started on it. I wasn't "hunting" for one, but noticed this one being offered within 50 miles from my home at what I considered a more than reasonable price. I was fortunate to get it for even less than the listed price, which was a little added bonus. I already had it's "little sister", a Leedy Broadway New Era (4 1/2 x 14) model (see pic), so I've added another member to the family.

Very cool old drum my friend, congrats!Nev-R-Dull (wadding) or Cape Cod Cloths will do the trick on the nickel.John

John: Just wanted to let you know that I picked up some Nev-R-Dull, per your recommendation. I've used the Cape Cod Cloths in the past and have been very satisfied with the results. However, since I've never tried the Nev-R-Dull I thought I'd give it a try. I haven't had a chance to get to the Leedy & Ludwig snare as of yet but I did try it out on the rims and lugs of a Slingerland Radio King Student model that I recently purchased. I was blown away by the results. They were truly amazing. Thanks again for the suggestion. I'll definitely continue to use that product and look forward to the results on the Leedy & Ludwig snare once I get to it.

I don't often recommend Nev-R-Dull because it is toxic. (Hope you're wearing good rubber gloves when you use it!) It is, however, bar none, one of the best polishes for chrome or nickel. It puts such a shine on nickel that it almost looks like chrome!

Please, anybody who uses the product, be safe, use it in a well ventilated area, wear protective gear, such as; rubber gloves and a molded painter's paper face mask. You'll be genuinely amazed at the results you get from Nev-R-Dull. It's been one of my secret weapons for years. Guys that have bought drums from me will tell you that the hardware on the drums always looks great/gleaming...

Nev-R-Dull.

Another lovely Leedy & Ludwig _ Oldschool !!!

Since you've designated the gender _ you could call her 'Lucy' as a tip of the hat to BB, or 'Loretta' as in _ "get back home ____" _ or 'Ophelia' _ the Band I think _ did a song.

Whatever you want to call her _ 'little sister' is Sweeeeet !!

I'll bet she BITES too !!

About Purdie's suggestion for Nev-R-Dull _ I hadn't used it either _ but was looking at their website _ and now plan to get some too _ per both of your recommendations / reports / endorsements.

And WILL take all precautions.

Best

LOL - Oldschool, I'm old enough to remember how they would only show Elvis from the waist up whenever he played on the Ed Sullivan show! His on-stage gyrations were just way too much for 'polite' 50's audiences. Elvis danced XXX, but what you actually saw on TV was strictly G Rated!

Great clip.
