Leedy & Ludwig Bdp Snare

Loading...

I just picked this one up today. From what I can tell its all original and the BDP wrap is in really nice shape, although still filthy since I haven't had the time to polish it up. Any suggestions as to what products or processes would be most effective on the nickel hardware would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Very cool old drum my friend, congrats!

Nev-R-Dull (wadding) or Cape Cod Cloths will do the trick on the nickel.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Just wondering....How can you tell that the t-rods on this drum are non-original?

LOL - They're shiny chrome! The rest of the hardware is nickel over brass. Much more mellow look to the nickel. I prefer NOB as opposed to COB. Nickel looks richer!

Get some nickel tension rods and the drum will match up nicely.

I guess this is another case where my one "functioning" eye failed me (lol). Now that I've actually taken a closer look it certainly is obvious.DOH I'll definitely search for some NOB rods to match the rest of the hardware. I really do like the looks of this drum!

I have LOTS of nickel t-rods.....

if anyone has a pic of 1,with a ruler by it to show me exact dimensions,I may have 16 of them.

Some Cape Cod pads/Novus 2/elbow grease, you will be good to go!
