That was very interesting ,Bill and thank you for it. There does seem to be a lot of similarities between that one and mine. He seemed to be using fairly heavy sticks-----I seldom use sticks that heavy ----usually 7a's or 8's. I will be playing around a lot with this cymbal; probably run the gamut of sticks. By the way; the 18 and 20 are no slouches either.

Yeah that was my fault, I confused the cymbal with a "Zilojian" that was sold in Turkey. That Intermediate Stamp was a great deal.

Did you ever see the Orson Wells film F for Fake ? It has a lot to say in its cleverly enticing way about the validity and value of such sentiments. If it were, it has fooled me and what is the case, is; it would likely fool anyone, which begs the question------is that fake, high quality cymbal bronze?, are those hundreds of finger marks that have been impressed into its patina ,clearly over a considerable length of time fake, is that a fake signature,or are all those 1000's of hammer marks layed into the metal with a similar aplomb to any other K.Zildjian I have held in my hands fake.---and the stamp, oh!,THE STAMP: now would that be made by a fake, using the original die or a fake die being used by an original stamper?, -----or perhaps a fake die being used by a fake stamper on a real cymbal, or a real stamper using a real die on a fake cymbal? Hmmmm. I'm really suspicious now.

The signature is never found on the fakes. That's too hard to copy and the ink used is unique as well. That signature detail shows that its genuine as much or more than anything else. But the trademark and the rest of it checks out too.

The fakes are good enough to fool the average cymbal buyer, but they are easy to spot if you've dealt with a lot of old K's.

I did some comparison pics a while back of the fake vs real stamps. The most notable problem with the fake stamps is the "D" in "ZILDJIAN" looks more like an "O". The fakes also have strange, non-K looking bells, and a few have had some kind of faux patina applied. And as Bill mentioned, none so far have had signatures.

The fakes are made in Turkey, and the only ones I've seen on ebay were coming from Turkey. I've also seen a few on Boston Craigslist. But there's no doubt the 22" Intermediate Stamp in this thread is the real deal...the fakes are trying to replicate New Stamps.
