1965 Cleveland era. Um.......... trade the girlfriend, keep the drums.and never touch that snare drum with steel wool. no matter what any idiot claims will work. Dont do it. Resist the urge.

HAHAHAH!!! Dude, you're hilarious! I'm telling my girl you said that. She'll find you. She'll hunt you down. LMAO! Yeah I only polished the crome with soft cloth and a mild detergent specifically for chrome.

WOW! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your guys' input on this with me. I still don't have a concrete price, but, now I have an idea. I'll go to some local guys and see what they think.....hopefully I won't have to smack them down if they try to play dumb. LOL

Seriously, thanks again guys. Much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!Wowza - that's a cool kit! I agree with the other guys - keep it, at least for awhile. Looks like you've got the entire kit except the cymbal stands. Those are easy to find should you decide to keep the kit and make it complete. You're wise to consult with forum members on techniques for preservation and restoration methods that will keep the original integrity of these beauties as close to new and unaltered as is humanly possible.Good luck with them, and thanks for sharing! All of us just go nuts whenever we see anything like this. You'll find that everybody on the forum is really cool. Rock on!!Tom

Really, thank you guys. You know, the more I think about it, the more I feel that this set belongs to someone else. Someone who's going to be able to use it better than I can and will appreciate it more than I can. But, jeez....it's been a blast getting back on it. I just looked back at it. LOL I know once it's out of my hands I'll regret it. But, I don't deserve this set. But, when I bought it I knew that someone would appreciate it, if not me. I took one look at it and imagined the worst drummer in history, Ringo Starr, slapping out his beats on it....HAHAHAH Is there somewhere I can post a video of me playing it? I'm not good but, who cares?

The pedal is called a Swivo-Matic, and unless it is broken, it just needs a good cleaning and is worth a couple of bucks all it's lonesome. Are the hi-hat stand and other hardware the same? If so, make sure you advertise it as Swivo because it makes a huge difference to some guys if the original hardware kit comes with the package. I now have a sneaking suspicion you have some really sweet cymbals as well. Don't take any backroom, off the silent PM offers until you get a really good grip on what it's truly worth.

There are MANY sharks that patrol these waters looking for people exactly like you....those that don't really know what they have and can get taken before they know what hit them. If someone offers you $500.00, run away, they are worth far more, especially depending on the cymbal package.

Now I can't tell if you guy's are trolling me...HAHAHAHH

Thanks man, I appreciate it. You guys are really helping me out in regards to pricing.

But, like I said, I'm not sure if I want to give this set up. Getting back on it has me rediscovering fun.

That is a good thing! The 50s and 60s are, arguably, the best times in drum making history, IMO.

That Dyna I believe is a 70's model made in Fullerton, CA in good shape (if it's complete) it's probably worth $300 to $350. I agree with all get rid of the girlfriend and keep the kit.
