Wrap appropriateness and optimal colour?

Loading...

Yes, I speak of the power tom Tama Rockstar kit I just bought. As one could tell by the second post about this kit, I am quite chuffed to have them. It's like they brought me back to my youth!!!

White (the current colour) does look good with big drums, but I was thinking maybe about gold mirror. Red lacquer looks GREAT on long drums, but I don't want to lacquer. Yeah- gold mirror could be a bit tacky, but it's fun. I am not a guy known for his subtlety...

Is it me or would WMP look silly with such long-sized drums? I love that colour wrap, but to me it looks out of place.

Waddaya think?

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

WMP would look odd, I think. How about red or blue sparkle/glass glitter? Maybe even orange sparkle?

Good luck and look forward to your pics.

I don't think WMP looks good on any drums so I vote no to that!

I vote that you take them to a body shop and have them hit them with chameleon paint!

have a wonderful evening

bunny LOVES chameleon paint; but it'd cost about 15X MORE than what I spent on these tubs...

Unless you know a bloke that'd do it on the cheap...

LOL. I wish I did know someone that would do it for a song. This came up in another thread a long time ago and I still have never seen a pic of a drum kit in chameleon paint. I am sure that someone has done it by now, and I don't subscribe to any drummer magazines or anything like that but I would love to see one!

Hey Bunny, with that white background to work with, why not do 'collage' and clear-coat the whole thing. Depending on what graphics you choose, you could even create a theme! 60's psychedelic, war, outer space scenes, the sky is the limit. It'll be a one-of-a-kind personalized kit for sure.

Just throwing out ideas... have fun, bud.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
