Slingerland COB snare interior paint?

Loading...

Ok, Hi, I've checked around for the last couple hours and can't seem to find an answer so, here I am, on the forum. Maybe someone here can answer??

I'm working on a 1966 Slingerland kit and am now on the snare. It's a GK Sound King with a Zoomatic strainer. There were a couple of dents, which I was able to get out for the most part anyway ::lol:: However, my problem is now that I have marred the inside of the painted metal shell, and would like to know what the matt grey aluminum looking paint is? I don't think this topic has been covered as of yet. Anyone?? Thanx

That's not grey paint on the inside, its part of the plating process. Its unpolished chrome.

Thanx guys,

Wow wasn't expecting that. Quick note: banging on the inside with a rubber hammer actually polishes the unpolished chrome! Oh well, better than a dent I guess.
