Give it a look and post what you find out, How many amps do you have? I sold my Marshall SLP 100 watt re issue two years ago, wish I would have kept it, all my amps now are low powered, a fender champ silver face, a Danelectro Cadet 1964 model, and a National Valco Trem o tone 1957 model. this is my favorite now, but I'm going to get a Fender silverface twin reverb that will take care of the power department again. But I'm a drummer that plays Stringed Instruments so drums are my main Instrument.

It's one of my hobbies along with playing music is to buy/play/sell vintage tube amps. ie; Marshall 1959, 1987, 2203's, 2204's, Majors. Sunn Sorados, 190B's, Scetpre, Model T's, Enforcer's. Laney pre Supergroups, Supergroups, Kilpps, VA100, Music City. Oh and playaround with some Mesa Rectifiers and a Heartbreaker that I like alot. My little combo is a SoniCord Toad with a 15" in which is an interesting amp... to name a few.

I bet Valco is a sweet sounding little amp!

Wow, What a nice set you got..Now onto your question on the toms.A few things to look at are the holes on the mounts are they round and the "L" arm fits tight into them? OR are the holes look out of round? If they are out of round and the "L" has some play to them then you will need to replace the mounts. You can also check the round inserts inside each mount same goes for them..Another thing to look for is were the nut is on the outside of the mount is their one washer or two? If only one washer add another washer this would tightn up the insert and the "L" arm better..Mikey

your kit looks to be a 1978 model, stainless steel kits came out in 1976 and ran till about 1981 short production run, and they cost a ton when new, they where the most expensive drums at one time to buy. here is a pic of my kit.

Mark that throne is all about sexy..... very nice drums ExcitedExcitedExcited

P.S. sitting in front of four of those marshalls is the reason i can hardlt hear and have tennitis but it was awesome getting there.... love those amps along with sunn, and vox,

Does anyone have an original price sheet on what they sold for in the day?

Do you know which models were the second and third in the price line and how did they compare (price)?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
