Custom brass snare....Brady?

Loading...

Does anybody remember a totally custom snare drum manufactured in the mid- to late- 1970's made by someone named Brady(? I think?) Specifically, it was a 5x14 Slingerland brass shell (12-lugs top, 12-lugs bottom) and had two separate full-sized throw-offs - one on each side. I believe they were made in New York? There was also a lot of custom brass work for the throw-off mechanism to work properly. I remember seeing one of these drums in Mitch Greenberg's shop (Bison Drums - when they were in Chicago).

Alas, not a Brady. We started in 1980 and use only Australian timbers in our drums.
