Thought someone may be interested. These things are just too heavy IMHO. These aren't mine, and I don't know the seller. If you want them, I can get them shipped (NOT BY ME) and I will assume it won't be cheap.

Hey, thanks!

I just posted in "wanted to buy."

Too bad it's not closer to Kansas...

That's not a bad price, even after the shipping cost. If you can find the right person to ship them, they will be done not by straight weight, but by what is called "dimensional weight" of a max of 70lbs via USPS, 24x24x20 box at about $66.00 for one box at the aforementioned numbers. UPS may take a higher weight, but if you keep all three bass drums, you will need more boxes. I would leave the 2 extra bass shells with whomever ships them for you as payment for their time. Shipping in one box will require removal of all shell mounted hardware...and about 4 hours to put them back together, after detailing, but they will rock your world when complete, and tat snare is the absolute best COS snare ever made, period, and some of them were even COB. Those two bass shells will take almost any type of bass lug.

Just some clarification:

I really don't want to be involved in the sale. What I will do is pick up the drums at the sellers location and drop them off at a shipping and packing location.

I will recommend a couple of places to do the shipping, but that's it. You will need to make the arrangements with the shipper. These are not mine and I'm not making a dime off of this. I'm just trying to help what looks like an interesting kit get into the hands of someone that wants them.

Shipping Greyhound Bus would be the cheapest way to ship those. They get far gentler treatment as well.

Sorry, I had no intention of insinuating you would have anything to do with it, I was just trying to clarify as well to anyone looking seriously at this as a viable way to get into some nice looking F/G Pearls by getting the shipping info posted. There are a few other guys in the area tat may help out...but taking the time toe to tear down all those drums...wow, what an undertaking!

Oh, no prob Jonni... Didn't mean that. I was just trying to make certain that I didn't own or have anything to do with the kit.

I did go by and look at them today. They are kind of rough, a few extra holes here and there... some oddball 'improvements', but most of the original hardware is present.

Mikey: He is set at $250.00

Just worked out the details on this deal, after 2 or 3 days. These will be making an "over-the-Rockies" trek from CA to KS this next week!

Hey, this forum is great! This deal would have NEVER happened without it!

Special thanks to Fishwaltz, who started the thread in the firstplace. Just a great example of how we of "like mind" can help each other out!

And thumbs up to Dana @ Bentley's Drum Shop in Fresno. Great communication in working out the very reasonable shipping/handling details.

Now, if only our elected officials could work this well together....LoLoLoLo
