Unique sound or just a killer finish?..They seem to be quite expensive as well!

I have a set of them. I'm not sure how unique I would describe the sound but they do sound really nice. Since they were only available in the deep sizes they can be a bit on the loud size. The finish is excellent. Expensive? For used drums they are up there but not overly expensive. They were only made for a few years, not terribly rare in the common sizes such as 12, 13, 14, 16 toms and 22 and 24 bass drums but the other sizes get very pricey and the snares are getting real expensive.

What do you think a 22,10,14 in good condition would be worth today?

From what I have seen the Cordia finish is bringing the best money for that range, especially standard depth drums.

You might be thinking of Starclassic Cordias, not Artstars.

They did not make original 1980's Artstar Cordias in standard depths. There is a rumor that a endorsee received a Cordia kit in standard size from Tama but if thats true then that kit would likely cost a small fortune. I've never seen it. I have seen them cut down but that actually reduces there value from what I have seen as they can not be cut to the proper standard size without leaving extra holes.
