Yamaha pedal

Anyone know what year this pedal is from? Is the bottom plate an add on? Check out the locking bracket on the side, I have never seen this set up before and can`t find this pedal in any of the catalogs.

Looks like the twin to my early 90's Yamaha. That bottom plate leads me to believe it might have been part of a double pedal set-up, perhaps the slave portion.

There is a clip on both sides of the pedal that locks the base plate to the pedal. Pretty slick, never seen one before.

I wonder if it's not an early "Flying Dragon" from the base plate and the mounting clamp it looks like a mid level pedal not a beginner.

Edit:

I see now it is collapsable- I am sure it's some kind of a "Flying Dragon" model I saw them in Japan about 6 years ago a little bit different design but many similarities.

This pedal looks quite the same as the pedal I bought in 1991, as part of a 9000RC set. The bottom plate however is something I haven´t seen before. The great thing about this pedal was that the locker could be operated from the side, very comfi!

You're right dutchy -it looks A LOT like the one in your photo- thanks- that brings this one back a decade than I was thinking. The 2005 Flying Dragon had the folding plate like this one in question but there were several other key differences. Thanks for posting your pic

Hi OsakaBop,

I got a question to you; a while ago you´ve posted pics of a Yamaha with a question about the tom mount. Could you tell me if this drum set has a model number? I am still trying to place my model 295 somewhere in the Yamaha history.

Regards,

Dutchy

Hawg,

I have the same pedal with the same plate that, as already stated, was part of a double pedal system, I believe.

I never had the complete double system, and it never attached to the hoop with the plate, so I took the plate off the bottom and now use it as a single, that now looks like Dutchy's....

Early 90's sounds right....
