Evap-O-Rust is a fantastic products. I've even had success soaking lugs and tension rods overnight, then pouring the liquid back in the bottle and using it again later...successfully. Good stuff.

Yes, you do have to be patient, especially will very rusty threads. It generally takes overnight.

Careful though.....
if left on too long,it will give your parts a ugly grey tint to them!
I keep checking on them from time to time.................
