I've always wanted a "best-of" Pearl stencil kit with really nice luan shells and glitter wrap that was actually-untainted. I finally found this NC and spent a few months adding some personal touches. The result is a great gigging kit with some modern amenities and a complete package of original Pearl professional hardware. [Attachment: 32565]

Very nice!
Barjack, we should talk. I'll pm you when I get a chance.
Too cool!! I love it!
Great looking kit, 'KO'!
(I, personally, would take the metal spurs in, when placing the kit on a wooden floor. ;) )
Exactly such a cymbal stand attended me at the gigs with my Star drumkit for a longer time in the 70s. If I recall correctly, it was absolutely sturdy and easy to build up: excellent quality - and much stronger than the stands of Star at that time.

Thanks, and don't worry- the metal spikes weren't actually touching the floor, and the set was only assembled for a photograph in the living room. Pearl's stands from the 1970's are absolutely the best vintage hardware I've ever used, cheaper than equally-sturdy Rogers or Slingerland stands, and in my opinion far more forgiving than Ludwig stands (especially Pearl vs. Ludwig height collars).
