Ludwig Engraved Bronze Black Beauty

I have that same model drum. I'd have to check the plate for the number though.

#208 if I remember correctly but like I said I'd have to check to make sure.

Mine still has the Ludwig Rocker batter on it and it's been well played.

Great sounding drum!

I am the original owner and have everything that came with it including the paper that says when it was manufactured. So now I'm curious and have to check it out to see what year it was made.

Is there a way to tell who did the engraving?

I would love to see what the paper with yours says re date. I believe the first of the batch were engraved by John Aldridge. Reid Smith then took over with the rest of that series. Reid is a master engraver in NC. Look inside the shell and you will see the engraver's initials (although John's are a little hard to decipher).
