DrumMate: questions on cymbal holder at the bass drum

Today I've put my hands on a cheap DrumMate (budget-line from Star/ Pre-Tama) in WMP and the sizes 13/16/20 plus matching 14 snare drum.

The tom-reso-hoops and one for the bass drum are missing, which will not be a great issue to find some.

But I'm curious about the cymbal holder at the right side of the bass drum.

It looks exactly like this one (in Set 'Drum Mate 3'):

At my bass drum there is only the outer bracket part still assembled. In it, there's a hole from the side, obviously for the fixing screw (and the one for the cymbal arm), but can anyone send me a pic of the tube part, that is inside of the 'bracket covering' and where the cymbal arm goes through? I have no clue how it must look like, but I'm eager to tinker it by myself then.

Thanks in advance,

Ralf

NB: surely I will show pics once the set's refurbishing is done.;)

Hi Ralf,

I don't have one to take a picture of, but I can describe the couple of those I've seen.

It's just a tube (or solid, not sure about that). The top piece off of any older cymbal stand will work as long as it fits in the mounting bracket hole. The height adjustment was simple, up or down inside the drum.

Should be an easy find.

Ralf,If i undrstand your question, the mount for the cymbal rod would have a eye- insert-{ like you would fine on Ludwig mounts}- with a wing-screw this would hold the rod in place....Mikey

Hi, thanks for your replies. Understand, that the 'mount' is held within the bracket only with the wing screw from outside, going sideways into the mount to fix the height of the cymbal rod. (A rude construction, but ok ...)

Ralf

NB @Mike: I'm still waiting for your reply concerning the TAMA strainer parts !

Thanks very much. Great!

'... just piece of metal with hole in it ...':

And how is this piece (I mean the quadratic guidance) fixed in the bracket? Is there a rectangular piece behind it and goes the wing screw from outside through that extension?

This piece is welded to the bracket and wing nut goes through square screw nut,and that nut have a space so it can rotate when you turn wing nut.Uhhhh I will try to take better pics! This explanation even I who wrote it can't understand!
