Maybe, maybe, Phil, perhaps it was.

But I've never seen any other kinds precisely the same geometry of this type - not on any drums, not in any Sonor or Tromsa catalogs --- only this concrete, not in green or any other tint.

I know that one of Tromsa wraps had a similar name - "schwarz-gold" but it seems to me that is the same product (as Sonor & Tacton "poly-pop" called "mexico" on Tromsa)... :)

And I really understand that my view is not so wide.

All of sets with this wrap were imported in SU under the name "Grey Sparkles" - it had previously been considered an one of the extra class finish.

Very interesting project. polygraphist: this is defined (at least here) as a person trained to administer polygraph tests, related to criminal investigations.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the pattern printed on and what type of printer is used?

It's not mean as "POLYGRAF-machine operator".

As I've been said earlier, one of my friends is an owner a company which business field means "polygraphy" in the primordial broad sense - the production of printed publications, posters, booklets, billboards & etc.

I don't know the true type of his hot-print machine but it really allows (if experiment will be successfull) to get a sheet near a standard size of wrap kind.

Tromsa had both silver and gold in this wrap. the schwarz-gold has actually gold sparkles and they also must have had schwarz -silber, because I have a snare drum with silver sparkles. As far as the green-----i've seen it but don't have an example to prove it. Red is a distant memory going back many years----prior to my ardent interest in such things but i remember seeing it , George.

How did you know that? It's quite rare these days-----probably due to over harvesting. ................. it is still available though from a specialty wood supplier called Yerput in Meon Man.------just outside of Winnipeg------used to be called B.S. Specialty Wood Products.

Ah yes-B.S.Products-I purchased a set of their ZWT plywood cymbals for $300.And they sounded just as good as ZBT's!Burger Kin

well.it's sad really; you may have gotten the last set, because the company was a victim of the Red River flood, this past spring. they had a special process(that's why they sounded so good)!----- just prior to the final surfacing on a lathe, the cymbals were stored out of doors,during the winter to cure. surfacing was done in July,when they were known to be good and dry. apparently, the entire years production floated away. there should be hundreds of them scattered around the North or South Dakota countryside-----unfinished of course and pretty useless. come to think of it, weren't there a lot of crop circle sightings from the air in that area, this summer??--- any way, the company declared bankruptcy; there was some restructuring(i don't think they make wooden cymbals anymore) , they moved and are now Yerput in Meon Man.
