I was wondering if anyone has any info on this drum (how rare, what's it worth). I won it at the 1986 PASIC......
Slingerland Brass On Brass Snare
Is this the from the Spirit Series?
James
I looked at the website that identifies serial numbers, and as best as I can tell it was made in 1985 or 1986......
It's a Slingerland Magnum Series. It has 10 center lugs with slapshot strainer. It's probably worth a lot. It also has lacquered brass sticksavers, rare! This must be a "Lacquered Brass" model, around 1986, right before the "Slingerland" company collapsed.
I have a 50s Radio King 1-ply solid maple shell, I could swap it on the spot with your beauty if you want : )
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is a 6.5" by 14" snare and it has the last Niles Badge.
I'm sure the Doctor on this forum has additional info.
Thanks for posting,
Fred
One of the last of the US Slingerlands. The SLAPSHOT throwoff was a very good system
Very, very nice. The gold or brass plating makes it very rare. The slapshot throwoff, even though very bulky, is a great system.
