Paypal Question

I've bought lots of stuff using paypal - no problem yet.

I'm trying to send some money to an email address but I get a message that the email (the one I'm sending it to) is not registered yet. The message goes on to say something like: I can continue and paypal will send the recipiant an email explaining how they can receive my money.

I've never been paid on paypal - I'm usually the payee.

I backed out of the site and sent the person I'm paying an email to see if they're set up on PayPal. Is that how it works?

I didn't want to continue in case my $100's and $100's of dollars got hung up in cyberspace haha. Not funny really I guess.

Thoughts?

I think it means that the e-mail address you are using is not the one the person you are sending money to uses on pay pal. I had that problem a couple of weeks ago and the problem was that he had a typo in the e-mail address he posted...so when I tried to send the money there, it couldn't go, because it wasn't the right one.

yes thats correct, if its a valid email address it will acknowledge either it was a good transaction or not you will not loose your money just make sure you know who the recipients are and it will be fine ...

thanks for all the help.

I sent the money to an email address the person uses on his website as a 'contact' email address. It wasn't the one that person had registered with on PayPal.

I'm hoping it will all work out.....we'll see. Drama drama drama

It looks like it's been sorted out..........I went on my account at PayPal and got the varified message stating the money had been sent to the proper email address.

It's good to come here and ask questions though.....thanks again guys....good to have you here!
