Zildjian K Istanbul - can u help identify this stamp? thanks in advance!

hi everyone,

ive been searching online for a zildjian k istanbul stamp timeline and could not find anything available.

could u please help me identify + date this istanbul stamp? from a 20" ride w/ rivets.

Hi there,

I would suggest sending the pics to Zildjian. By pure chance at the Del Mar Jazz party, I had a set of Istanbul K's with me I was intending to show Joe Ascione, and someone asked if I would like to meet Andy Zildjian. Andy was nice enough to take some pics of the logo & signature, send them to the factory, and in 3 days I had a response with info.

i finally found a timeline for k istanbul, seems this stamp closely resembles the IIIb stamp, mid 50's. someone else told me 40's but the stamp doesnt match

I would agree. It looks like a Type IIIb to me as well. Mid '50's Its most definitely not from the '40s.
